Undocumented Immigration: Unseen Costs and Challenges for America’s Future
The American public is gradually awakening to the yet incalculable cost of accommodating and problems of assimilating the influx of undocumented immigrants invited by the current administration. In addition to sheer numbers (estimates range upward from 10-million), housing, employment, dependency and age portend indefinite budgeting, borrowing and taxation demands on our citizenry.
Any ‘feel-good’ aspect of this ill-considered government policy is dissipated by the stark reality of liberties taken with already over-exploited and indebted taxpayers.
The combination of inability to reverse recent inflation and the self-induced, disruptive burden of mass illegal immigration impose heavy burdens on the next federal administration. Regaining pre-pandemic domestic prosperity and growth will be extremely difficult, especially if international tensions remain unabated. Anyone seeking the presidency should not anticipate a joyride, and neither should the electorate.
There are no legitimate political grounds for debate about election integrity - or that law and order must be restored as the foundation for social and economic progress. If both parties are sincere about unifying the electorate, those are the places to start.
