Maine’s southern-district congresswoman falsely claims the Supreme Court’s “transsexual” ruling “bullies kids.”

In fact, the decision merely keeps boys out of girls’ sports.

It doesn’t forbid boys claiming to be girls from playing on transsexual teams.

The bottom line is so-called trans kids are welcome to be athletes – but not on mixed-gender squads.

The court, in an opinion written by Brett Kavanaugh, said that “the states may maintain women’s and girls’ sports for biological females. They may determine eligibility for women’s and girls’ sports based on biological sex.”

That of course is not what Chellie Pingree is claiming as she portrays the ruling as using kids for “political punching bags.”

By falsely interpreting the ruling, it’s Chellie Pingree who is politicizing the issue.
