Biological fiction?
I know what “binary” means, but I need help beyond that in dealing with biological fiction. Is a “trans” man a man who formerly was a woman - or a woman previously recognized as a man? Does the term refer to before or after the personally elected change? I need to know the protocol in order to deal sensitively with preferred pronouns in my interaction with others.
Also, are thrift-shop charitable donations of discarded clothing used under the former identity and exchanged for opposite-sex replacements eligible for tax deduction?
These dilemmas are a welcome diversion from worrying about things like border protection, criminal behaviour, climate change, inflation control, defence capability, education reform, wealth disparity, personal safety, election integrity, and information security.
