Last week’s question: How many States use Rank Choice Voting to elect their representatives to Congress? The answer is “E” – Maine and Alaska are the only two States that use RCV to select their congressional representatives and senators. A. All 54 States now use RCV (Despite what President Biden says, there are only fifty states – no joke)

B. Maine is the only state that uses RCV

C. Maine, Massachusetts and Alaska are the only states that use RCV (The voters in Massachusetts had the good sense to say “no” to RCV)

D. Maine is one of nine states that use RCV

E. Maine is one of only two states that use RCVLast week’s bonus Question: Congress has 535 members (435 Representatives plus 100 Senators). In total, how many members of Congress are elected by RCV?The answer is “C”. Maine elects two senators and to reps by RCV (4 total). Alaska elects two senators and one rep by RCV  (3 total).  4 + 3 = 7. (Remember, the number of reps each State is allotted is based on the State’s population)A. All 535

This week’s question: Yesterday, in order to check into a Maine hotel, I had to show my driver’s license. To get my driver’s license, I had to show the DMV agent my passport, my birth certificate and a recent utility bill.
