Juvenile Crime: Minor Arrested Following Westbrook Burglary

by Seamus Othot | Jul 10, 2026

The Westbrook Police Department arrested a juvenile on Thursday after he allegedly broke into the Duck Pond Variety gas station on Wednesday night.

At approximately 10:23 p.m., the Westbrook Police responded to a burglar alarm activation at the gas station located at the intersection of Bridgton Road and Duck Pond Road.

Officers arrived to discover that someone had allegedly forced entry into the building and stolen several items, but the suspect had fled by the time police arrived.

The investigation led police to identify two suspects and request public assistance in identifying them.

They were seen driving a Toyota RAV4 and were seen traveling on Route 302 toward Windham.

After posting the request for assistance, police reported that the case had been solved.

They identified both suspects and charged only one, a juvenile.

The Police Department provided scant details and did not specify the age of the suspect or whether the minor had been arrested or simply issued a summons and released.
