Howie Carr Damns Ogunquit, Maine’s Leftist Barney Frank With Faint Praise For Repudiating Nazi Oyster King

by Ted Cohen | May 2, 2026

The top jock on the Boston waves who’s made a career out of humiliating then-Massachusetts U.S. Rep. Barney Frank now says Frank got one close to right, literally.

“You know Democrats have lost the plot when even Barney Frank is saying his party has ‘embraced an agenda that goes beyond what is politically acceptable,’” Carr said Friday.

“The Democrats have gone too far left for even Barney Frank? That tells you a lot,” Carr added.

Then this from Carr: “Barney is 86 years old, and apparently on the way out. He’s in hospice in Ogunquit, Maine, which is basically Provincetown North.”

Frank was the first-ever congressman to come out of the closet and of course Carr has had a field day over the years with Barney gay jokes.

Carr says that Barney has a new book coming out “that, according to far-left website Politico, is all about ‘repudiating his party’s left flank.’

“Wow. Barney is a guy who as a congressman lived with a male prostitute named ‘Hot Bottom.’

“The point is, how far gone are the Democrats when they’re too crazy even for Hot Bottom’s heartthrob?

“In his new, and final home state, Maine, Barney endorsed the dreadful septuagenarian Gov. Janet Mills over Graham Platner, the trust-funded ‘oyster farmer’ and self-proclaimed member of the working class who went to the la-de-dah Hotchkiss School.

“Platner has a Nazi tattoo on his chest and is on record as saying, among other things, that Mainers are racist and blacks are bad tippers.

“The comrades in Maine have fallen head over heels for Oysterfuhrer Platner.

“Barney is befuddled. ‘I worry a little bit,’” Frank fretted, ‘about the tendency on the Democratic side to fall for the flavor of the month.’”
