Does the public fully realize that we are engaged in a self-induced “war” with the hordes of illegal immigrants allowed over our borders and infiltrating most of America to some extent, even Maine? The deviant behavior among these uninvited and unvetted guests - including many unknown “getaways” - is creating havoc by overwhelming domestic law enforcement, service agencies, and local governments. This eruptive conflict within the country demands prompt and firm attention to avoid spreading calamity well beyond the front-line border states.

Apprehended drug dealers, store looters, random carjackers, and unruly thugs should not be released promptly without bail to repeat their miscreant behavior elsewhere. Since federal authorities are neglecting to protect the citizenry, states, cities and other jurisdictions are forced to set the standards of acceptable behavior and deserve our unqualified support. These people are intruders, not guests, on unknown personal missions or vendettas to be determined. Caveat emptor!
