Save the Whales – Not
By Peter Petrowich We have all been aware of the attacks on Maine fishing and Lobster industries with the excuse of saving the right whales. "The Maine Lobstermen’s Association said this week that Maine lobstermen have not had an interaction with right whales in nearly 20 years." https://www.seacoastonline.com/story/news/2022/09/09/maine-slams-seafood-watchs-red-list-attack-lobster-industry/8009233001/ https://www.themainewire.com/2021/09/maines-lobster-industry-is-under-siege/ It seems that sonar survey activities are being done on the New Jersey Shore and seven dead whales have been discovered in the past 30+ days! https://protectourcoastnj.com/ https://www.foxnews.com/video/6311451329112 It appears that the dead whale events are tied to offshore wind turbine activities as there is very circumstantial evidence. Could the attack on Maine lobster and fishing be a precursor to offshore wind development? I thought the "save the whales" and "green energy" special interests would be on the same side of a debate. Apparently not.
