U.S. Central Command has released stunning video of a Bath-built warship carrying out multiple strikes in the Iran war.

The attacks by the USS Michael Murphy were launched Wednesday under orders from President Trump, Pentagon officials announced.

“The strikes are in response to Iran’s unwarranted and continued aggression,” the U.S. Navy said. “U.S. forces remain vigilant, lethal, and ready.”

Murphy, an Arleigh Burke-class Aegis guided missile destroyer, is the last Flight IIA variant.

The ship, launched in 2011 by Bath Iron Works, is named for Medal of Honor recipient Lt. Michael P. Murphy.

Murphy (1976 – 2005) was posthumously awarded the Medal of Honor for his actions during Operation Red Wings in Afghanistan in 2005.

He was the first sailor awarded the Medal of Honor since the Vietnam War.
