The One and Only: John Doyle

A few months ago I wrote how what was going on in Maine smelled an awful lot like the stench emanating from the mega fraud in Minnesota aka Little Somalia. Boy, did I nail that one. I expected bad, but what has been going on in Maine is ridiculous. The smell led to the massive corruption and fraud, not just at Gateway but at other social service providers, most recently Paradise Residential Services (they are #3 on the list below). Mehmet Oz, the head of The Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services, or as Governor Mills likes to call him “The TV Doctor” said this about the level of fraud in Maine: “one hundred percent of the claims examined had problems”. One hundred percent. As in every single one!

I get that a lot of this fraud stuff is hard to understand. But here is something that is EASY to understand. The Maine Wire published the spreadsheet above. Most of the 35 companies listed were paid to provide home care to adults with intellectual disabilities e.g. autism. The list shows how much taxpayer money each company hauled in during 2021 thru 2024 and who runs the company. Here is where it gets really interesting: I looked at the names of the 35 people running the fraud machines, I mean companies, and guess what? There was EXACTLY ONE NAME I could pronounce: John Doyle. Or said another way, 97% of these fraud machines, I mean companies, are run by people who have names I have never heard before in America and couldn’t pronounce to save my life. Seems like this might be a Red Flag, doesn’t it? What a stench.
