A former basketball coach at a Massachusetts high school is facing federal charges for allegedly transporting a former student across state lines to engage in unlawful sexual conduct, U.S. Attorney for the District of New Hampshire Jane Young announced on Monday.

Jesus Moore, 35, the former men’s basketball coach at Lawrence High School, is charged with one count of transportation to engage in unlawful sexual conduct.

According to the U.S. Attorney’s Office, Moore surrendered to authorities and appeared in federal court on Monday. He was released on conditions.

Federal prosecutors allege that on or about March 7, 2022, Moore transported a former student at the school which employed Moore across state lines to engage in unlawful sexual conduct.

The former student was a minor at the time of the alleged unlawful sexual conduct.

Moore was previously charged in February of this year with aggravated felonious sexual assault after a woman came forward with allegations that he sexually assaulted her when she was an underage high school student, according to NBC News Boston.
