Portland Police Seize Over 300 Grams of Cocaine, Arrest Three in Franklin Towers Drug Bust

Three people were arrested and over 250 grams of cocaine were seized by police on Sunday after a search Portland apartment complex.

Portland Police say they executed a search warrant at 211 Cumberland Avenue, the Franklin Towers apartment building, at 7:30 p.m. on Sunday as part of an ongoing investigation into suspected drug trafficking at the building.

Police say their Special Reaction Team (SRT) assisted in the execution of the warrant to “ensure a safe and controlled operation.”

Noorhuessein Ibrahim, 39, of Westbrook, was found in possession of 68 grams of cocaine base (crack cocaine) and was charged with unlawful trafficking in scheduled drugs.

Ibrahim and a second suspect, 58-year-old Shane Leroux of South Portland, were also found in possession of 258 grams of cocaine HCL and were both charged with aggravated trafficking of scheduled drugs, police say.

Leroux faces an additional charge of falsifying physical evidence.

Ibrahim and Leroux were arrested and transported to the Cumberland County Jail.

A third suspect, Christopher Alan, 55, of South Portland, was charged with violating conditions of release and refusing to submit to arrest.
