Americans Push for Presidential Change Amid Global Economic Shifts

by Phil Osifer | Mar 31, 2025

More Americans are beginning to understand the reasons for electing a Presidential agent of big-picture change rather than one perpetuating a stagnating status quo. International mobility and trade have skewed economic dependency and shifted our leadership stage from 50 states to more global dimension. The United States is positioned to exercise intellectual influence and realign economic investment in the interest of advancing multinational well-being. Our challenge is to moderate disparities resulting from widely differing benefits of geography, climate and natural resources together with race, ethnicity, religion, mobility and other factors that preclude worldwide commonality of the human condition. Advanced weaponry resulting from three major military conflicts over the past century poses a sinister and potentially devastating threat to earthly civilization. That reality has been complicated by widening disparities between rich and poor nations that can only be moderated by actions of the former, just as “the bad side of town” is not self-correcting. Nearly every country, however small, has something of value to offer others, even if only a willing labor force. Peaceful world order depends on broad governmental recognition of that communal reality. America is on the verge of demonstrating that bilateral trade deals involving raw materials, manufactured goods and human initiative are best achieved through a process of negotiated fairness rather than unilateral edict.
