Is Mobster Mentality Infiltrating a U.S. Political Party?
Is one of America’s political parties succumbing to “mobster” infiltration? Street demonstrations against a popularly elected government, personal assassination threats to leading officials, and contrived propaganda concerning
policy motivation and direction are not hallmarks of a democratic society. Spurious allegations of autocratic rule, claims of Nazi practices, and demonization of executive officers represent desperate efforts to undermine popular will for lack of any coherent counter-policy. Persistent obstruction of demonstrably popular initiatives is not conducive to near-term party rehabilitation.
Insurrection in the interest of restoring public confidence and political party support is a false hope. People of all persuasions seeking to better their lives are more responsive to opportunity than committed to anger and resentment.
The “mob mentality” of opposition, resentment, victimization and disruption is not conducive to political change when public sentiment clearly favors platform specifics offered by the newly installed federal administration.
