Three Dominican nationals were arrested Wednesday morning and charged in connection to an alleged conspiracy to distribute cocaine and crack cocaine in Nashua, N.H., acting U.S. Attorney Jay McCormack announced.
Elizardo Escaria Delison, 32, Belisario Luis Delison, 49, and Rayddy Delison De Aza, 28, all of the Dominican Republic, were each charged with one count of conspiracy to distribute and possession with the intent to distribute controlled substances.
All three suspects are due to appear in federal court on Wednesday.
According to federal prosecutors, over the course of the alleged drug trafficking conspiracy, the Dominican nationals sold controlled substances, namely cocaine and crack cocaine, to law enforcement on more than 10 occasions.
The U.S. Drug Enforcement Agency led the investigation into the conspiracy with assistance from the Nashua Police Department.
The U.S. Attorney’s Office for the District of New Hampshire says that the arrests come as part of the Department of Justice’s new nationwide initiative, “Operation Take Back America,” focused on directing department resources to combat illegal immigration, violent crime and to “achieve the total elimination of cartels and transnational criminal organizations.”
The operation is based on the policy objectives established by President Donald Trump under his executive orders describing illegal immigration as an invasion, designating cartels as foreign terrorist organizations and establishing Homeland Security Task Forces in every state.
