Newly Elected Maine Rep Caught Parking in “No Parking” Zone

A newly elected Waterville representative was caught taking advantage of her legislative plates — and the slim design on her Chevy Spark — to slip into a “No Parking” zone over the weekend.

Rep. Flavia DeBrito (D-Waterville), who was just elected to represent Maine House District 64, was apparently in a hurry to park her ride at Waterville City Hall and got a little creative with her spot selection.

A Maine Wire reader sent along the incriminating pic, noting that it may have been taken during a performance of the Nutcracker at the city’s Opera House.

In most cases, the crossed lines in parking lots indicate areas where drivers are not supposed to park vehicles in order to keep lanes clear for workers or emergency first responders.
