Voter Skepticism Grows as Political Party Faces Uncertain Future Ahead of Election

by Phil Osifer | Nov 2, 2024

Trust us; you’ll like what you get! That’s the implicit campaign message from an incumbent political party in the throes of dramatic, unanticipated leadership change following a disappointing four-year term of governance. With less than two months until the 2024 national election, lack of forthright policy disclosure predictably leads to voter speculation as to realistic expectations for the next four. An organization of long tradition clearly is in the throes of generational brand makeover dictated by changed domestic and international market conditions. As matters stand, the familiar label on the package being offered is missing an ‘ingredients’ label, forcing customer reliance on propagandized contempt for the well-known competingproduct as the basis for ballot decisions. Earning competitive shelf space is difficult and costly when advertising disclosure is incomplete and there is no opportunity for sample-tasting. When bull**** prevails, the critical question becomes “where’s the beef”?Precious little time remains to put meat on the bones of what now is a nationwide, faith-based marketing exercise.
