Kamala Harris is demonstrably unfit to be installed as our national leader. She is neither exceptionally intelligent nor quick-witted and continues to expose her unworthiness to accede to the presidency by party fiat rather than traditional election campaign vetting protocol.An unremarkable stint as a symbolic presidential understudy reveals no distinguishing acumen as a persuasive female executive.She clearly does not rank with the likes of Indira Gandhi, Golda Meir or Margaret Thatcher. Harris is unable to answer two simple but pertinent questions forthrightly:“Are Americans better off now than four years ago?” and “Why hasn’t your present administration made some of the changes you now propose?” She meekly replies with extended commentary about her upbringing while evading and deflecting direct responses. Fashionable obsession with vague feminist symbolism is no substitute for clear policy substance from a confident candidate. What would Americans think if Harris were head of government in China, Russia, Iran or North Korea? She gives unmistakable appearance of a puppet unable to reply spontaneously and beholden to unseen handlers for real-time direction in governance. Say what you will about rival Donald Trump’s personality, but he is experienced, informed, analytical, decisive and communicative. Phil Osifer
