America’s Leadership Crisis: Choosing Proven Advocates Over Inexperienced Politicians
It is astonishing that America, the model of republican democracy and free enterprise, could become a threatening symbol of potential dictatorial government. The opening election-campaign price-control balloon from a hastily reconstituted incumbent regime does not portend continuity of policy or practice. Weak, inexperienced leadership succession is incompatible with a context of festering domestic unrest and international aggression. The situation calls for strong, convincing governance under which objective pragmatism overrules idealistic passivity.
The electorate is positioned to determine what course is best for America at this juncture. Its moral and economic leadership is in question and must now be defended in order to regain respect of both its citizenry and world observers. The Washington ballfield needs proven big-league players, not ambitious rookies up from the sandlots.
The required standard of talent judgment must be accomplishment rather than personality. You are not electing affable future dinner guests, but hard-nosed advocates for America’s national interests and the
life, liberty and happiness of their constituents. Results won’t be evident immediately, but it is possible to restore conditions prior to the emotionally debilitating and economically devastating 2020 coronavirus epidemic.Let’s go forward with pride and purpose.
