What does it say about leadership attributes when the incumbent Vice President-hoping-to-become-President elects to adopt and promote policy positions of her challenger previously derided as “extreme”?Is it any wonder that the public is wondering why party defections appear to be increasing? At least, it provides encouraging evidence that there are proposals on which welcome political consensus may be conceivable.Is this an early indication that immoderate convention-delivered messaging is missing its mark?
