Boiling the Frog

I’m a native Mainer. On my mother’s side of the family, we are Founders of the town I’m from. On my father’s side, his father came from Italy. My grandfather came the usual route at the time, Ellis Island. He went through all the mental and physical vetting that we required to make sure he would be a healthy, stable addition to America. He was studying to pass his citizenship status when he became ill and died. The test required knowing about America, its’ history, and its’ challenges. It instilled pride in what had become the best example of freedom and prosperity in the world, America.
Fast forward almost 100 years and America has become the land of the victimized. We no longer seem to care about our elderly, our poor, our veterans, our children. We spend millions and billions of dollars on housing New Americans and border crosses when many in our cities and towns across American who were born and raised here go homeless. We give jobs to these New Americans while our own go jobless. We feed and clothe these New Americans when our own go hungry and barely covered. Our cities are deteriorating into slums of disease and drugs. Our school systems are overburdened and unable to teach the barest of essential learning to get by in life to our children.
My father spent 26 months as a prisoner-of-war in WWII. Captured in the battle of Kasserine Pass, he was sent to Sicily, Italy, then Munch and Frankfort, Germany and on to Poland. After 16 months in Poland, he was put with hundreds of other prisoners on a Death March through Germany. He was finally liberated near Belgium by the British while in a Concentration camp that had been converted to a hospital. My two sons continued the family history of protecting and honoring this country as their grandfather and great-grandfather had done, by serving in the military. One still is serving. My father suffered greatly at the hands of a Marxist Regime that wanted power over its people to make the leadership rich and powerful. They ran everyone’s life to continue their obliteration of freedom in the name of power and money. This is the Regime we are seeing today, running our state and our country. They don’t care about you and me. They don’t care about our history and our trials and triumphs. They don’t care about anything but the almighty dollar they get from these crazy programs to give money to people to build housing for the people who come here from countries that hate us. They destroyed their own country, now they want to destroy ours.
And we’re letting them. They have “boiled the frog.” Slowly but surely, they have raised the temperature, changed the rules, and hidden the objective that tells the true story. They want our country. They want us to answer for being prosperous. They have taken over our government. They have taken over our schools. They have taken over our elections. They have taken over our cities. They will not stop until we stop them. We can begin by VOTING and making sure it gets counted. Go to the polls. Watch the process. Turn your absentee ballot into the clerk yourself. Be vigilant. Your future depends on it!
